BEYOND THE CALL is a live fundraising event we stage all over the UK, using slides, a presenter and costumed-actor support. We set up and deliver on your premises entirely free-of-charge, subject only to having a bucket collection at the end for voluntary donations.

In 60 minutes, we scope the history of all the brave nurses, from Florence Nightingale onwards, who went beyond the call, putting their lives selflessly at risk on the field of battle.

There’s a particular focus on the Voluntary Aid Detachment, volunteers recruited largely from the upper classes, whose incredible story has almost been whitewashed from history.
